What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Websites also use similar browser storage. They can keep a site secure, remember your preferences and, with your permission, help a site understand how people use it.
How this site uses them
SoCCS stores two things of its own, both necessary: your cookie choice and your light or dark setting. The spam check on our forms, Cloudflare Turnstile, does not store cookies on your device. The donation form on our Donate page is provided by Donorbox, and its own security services set the cookies listed below on their own domains when that page loads. Analytics stays off until you allow it.
| Category | Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | soccs_cookie_preferences | SoCCS | Remembers your cookie choice on this device. | 6 months |
| Necessary | soccs-theme (browser storage) | SoCCS | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark version. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| Donation form | cf_clearance | Cloudflare, for Donorbox | Security check that protects the donation form. | 1 year |
| Donation form | _GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA, for Donorbox | Protects the donation form from spam and abuse. | 6 months |
| Donation form | m | Stripe, for Donorbox | Fraud prevention for card payments. | Up to 13 months |
| Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Measures visits and how pages are used, only if you allow analytics. | Up to 2 years |
Google Consent Mode
Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. When you save a choice, the site updates those settings. Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MQR4LWMR) loads only after you allow analytics, and it sends data to Google Analytics only from soccs.charity. This site runs no advertising.
Change your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page or the button below. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the new choice applies straight away on this device. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
